Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

; from a compound of Greek 5259 (hupo) and Greek 2476 (histemi); a setting under (support), i.e. (figurative) concrete essence, or abstract assurance (object or subject) :- confidence, confident, person, substance. so we see that faith is a concrete substance or abstract ASSURANCE... it is a support... a strong concrete support...

; from Greek 1680 (elpis); to expect or confide :- (have, thing) hope (-d) (for), trust. faith is a concrete assurance of the things we EXPECT of God...
difference between "I have hope" and "I hope" (I wish)
"I have hope"... it is a concrete substance... this is faith...... "I hope..." is I wish it would be this way... (I wish I was healed... I wish I could make it to Heaven"... etc)

Abel gave the BLOOD sacrifice that is necessary for atonement... Cain's offering offered no blood sacrifice... this could not please God... blood shed was required for atonement...
it takes faith to give our best - our first - even tithes
especially if we were not taught from our youth
BUT REMEMBER... NO ONE CAN OUTGIVE GOD...
and FAITH is the key to God's promises... and fear is the key to being defeated!! Faith stops fear... and fear stops faith...
which do you want FEAR??? OR FAITH??????
BELIEVE AND RECEIVE...
DON'T DOUBT AND DO WITHOUT...
